How to prepare a custom paper bag sourcing brief

Specify dimensions, paper weight, printing, handles and order quantity before asking Chinese suppliers to quote.

Define the bag before comparing a price

State finished width, depth and height, the paper type and weight, handle construction and intended load. A photograph can explain appearance but does not replace dimensions or a material specification.

Separate the order from its variants

Give a total quantity and the split by size, colour and artwork. Ask whether the minimum order applies to the whole order or each variant. Do not assume a listing minimum applies to custom printing.

Ask for a sample and an itemized quote

Request the unit price and currency at your quantity, sample fee, printing or tooling charges, packaging, production lead time and shipping terms. Ask whether a sample fee is refundable against a bulk order; treat it as unknown until the supplier confirms.

Check the physical sample

Review size, paper, handle attachment and print against the approved artwork. Record the agreed tolerances and the revision of the sample. A sourcing shortlist is the start of this check, not proof that the factory can reproduce the sample consistently.

Find suppliers for your product

This is general preparation guidance. Poppiki’s directory records and AI relevance judgments do not certify a factory or guarantee a quote. Review the source evidence and confirm terms with the supplier.
